Earth Day Service

Las Vegas – On Saturday, April 12th, a group of volunteers from the Las Vegas location woke up early to provide service at Rose Creek Garden, in partnership with Lighthouse Charities. This incredible organization supports refugees, legal immigrants, and community members in need by offering life skills and job readiness classes, paid job opportunities, ESL instruction, cultural mentoring, citizenship preparation classes, and operates a corner market. Together, we harvested and planted fresh vegetables, gathered eggs, and assisted in setting up for their bi-monthly farmers market. It was a great experience and opportunity to serve our local community.

Tennessee – Ashley Marie, Brance, Jamie & Nick, Megan & fam, and Joel & Tracey Lynn took trash talk to a whole new level on 4/12/25! Armed with bags and good vibes, they cleaned up like eco-superheroes on a mission. Go Getters? Nah—we’re Litter Getters now!

Shelby Farms Park is aiming to collect 2,025 pieces of litter each month as they work toward their ultimate goal of 25,000 pieces in 2025. As part of the “Be a Litter Getter” volunteer effort, our ClearBags team picked up trash contributing to Shelby Farms Park’s monthly total of 4,787 pieces of litter for April.

California – Despite cold and rainy weather, the ClearBags CA team showed up with great energy and even greater spirits for Folsom’s 2nd Annual Earth Day Cleanup! Michelle and her husband Jeff, Brian and his wife Krisha, Elysse and her daughter Nea, Justin, Denae, Danny, and Shihua all came together to help make a difference in our local community.

We focused our efforts on cleaning up a park in Folsom, but surprisingly found the most litter along the roadside—an eye-opening reminder of the impact of careless waste and the importance of keeping our environment clean. Together, we walked over three miles, collecting trash and making memories. The time flew by as we laughed, joked, and grew closer as a team.

We’re proud to be part of a company that values giving back, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a cleaner, greener place. Here’s to making every day Earth Day!

Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas

On Tuesday, March 11th, the Las Vegas team had the honor of cooking dinner for families residing at the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas. Their mission is to provide a supportive “home away from home” for families and children who are receiving inpatient or outpatient medical treatment at local hospitals. Without the Ronald McDonald House, families might have to sleep in a hospital chair or even in their cars, as most families cannot afford a hotel room for weeks or sometimes months – especially under the financial stress of mounting medical bills.

The House was designed to accommodate up to 12 families at one time, for a total of 72 family members. The team cooked up ravioli lasagna, salad, garlic bread and fresh cookies for six families that were staying at the House. The meal allowed the families to spend additional time at the hospital without the worry of having to make dinner when they were done. Thank you to the employees who volunteered. Your efforts are what make ClearBags not just a workplace but a community that cares!

Hands for an African Child

ClearBags has contributed to the development of a property in Uganda that will serve as a home and community for many orphaned children. Many of our team members make monthly contributions to this organization as well.
