PLEASE NOTE: PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) is an excellent film for food packaging. Best used for fresh fruit and produce, baked goods, deli meats, and confections. PLA film barrier is generally too high for direct use with extended shelf life applications requiring respiration.

Products composed with a strong odor base may not be suited for PLA. Also, some water-based products may not be well-suited for PLA since the water can evaporate over time, altering the product's composition.

We recommend that all of our customers test their products in PLA bags prior to sending them to market.
